If you’ve been following along with my blog posts, you might know that I’m part of a team competing in the Data Science Melbourne Datathon. Well, we just found out over the weekend that we’re one of only 10 teams that have been chosen to present at the Datathon finals on Wednesday!
To give you a bit of an idea of the massive achievement our team has made so far:
- Over 200 teams registered for the Datathon;
- It ran for 2 months, including 2 intensive hackathon days and countless hours of our free time;
- There were about 50 final submissions (including ours);
- Only 10 teams were chosen to present at the finals: 5 student teams, and 5 mixed (professional/student) teams. (We are classed as a “mixed” team)
If you want to check out our short (3 minute) submission, see the link here. We will be presenting the full-length 10 minute version on Wednesday, (I’ll try and record it and share it with you on here!)
